Emerson Network Power produces a number of high power half-brick and full-brick isolated dc-dc converters that are designed specifically for base station amplifiers and similar RF applications.
The RFB300 and RFB350 series are half-brick modules, with an industry-standard footprint of 2.4 x 2.3 inches, while the RFF500, RFF600 and RFF700 series are full-brick modules, with an industry-standard 4.6 x 2.4 inch footprint.
All the converters listed on this page are available with 18 to 36 Vdc or telecom-standard 36 to 75 Vdc inputs, generate a nominal 28 Vdc output – which can be adjusted over a wide range – and offer a choice of power output ratings to facilitate application matching. The half-brick converters are also available with 7.2 to 13.2 Vdc outputs. All the converters are rated for full power operation across a wide baseplate temperature range of -40 to +100 °C, making them ideal for use in demanding environments.
